2026 Marathon & Relay:
Saturday, May 2nd
Important Course Safety Information
This marathon takes place on open, rural roads with nearly 2,000 feet of elevation gain. Please carefully review the following information.
Course Conditions:
Many sections feature blind turns with vehicle traffic present
Portions of the course are unpaved
Runners must stay on the left side of the road and practice vigilant road safety at all times
Due to course safety, and volunteer coordination, there is a strict 6 hour pace for the marathon. There will be a pacer vehicle to transport any runners still on the course, to the finish line, at the end of the 6 hour limit.
Emergency Response: Due to the remote nature of some sections, emergency medical response times may exceed 15 minutes. While emergency medical services will be on call throughout the race, the terrain and location may delay assistance.
Risk Acknowledgment: Though past races have resulted only in minor injuries, the nature of this course carries inherent risks of serious injury. By registering, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
Do not register for this race unless you are fully prepared to accept these conditions.
