In 2020 when the world shut down, Seana Weaver was in the middle of training for a marathon. With the help of  her sister Jessica, she turned the canceled marathon into a solo event and raised money for the local food program, Community Kitchens of Northeastern CT. She ran it solo again in 2021, and in 2022 they brought on two friends, Joyce and Fraser to help organize and fundraise for an all-day event, with runners from across New England and the US. Over the years, they've raised more than $20,000 for local charities!

This year, they've added an organizer, Christina and added more runners. The 2023 Woodstock CT Marathon will be bigger, with more runners and relay teams, and more prizes at the Finish Line Event from local shops, makers and wellness providers. The finish line is at Taylor Brooke Brewery and Winery, a family owned local business making craft beer and wine. Join us from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM to cheer on the runners and win some great prizes!
